I also have a 1987 Y10 Fire LX, which I have owned for about eight years. The car has been off the road since the end of 2005, as it needed a new windscreen - amongst other things - and the MOT had expired. The car still runs but it needs a new exhaust manifold as the old one cracked. It is a complete car and I'm thinking it will need a new windscreen, a tailgate (as the current one is rotten), a new cam belt, offside driveshaft inner boot and gear oil, a new exhaust manifold and some electrical work as the indicators, horn and fog lights are a bit hit and miss. Alternatively, I'm sure it is a very good source for spares. The body/paintwork is in reasonable condition - it's in a light metallic green.

Basically, I'd like to know if anyone would be interested in this - now rare - car for spares or as a repair project. If you know of anyone, please let me know. It's free, if anyone can collect from Hull. If I don't get any interest over the winter, I may take up the offer which has been given locally of £100 for scrap. Reluctant to go this way, though. I don't mind scrapping Escorts, Rovers etc but it would be a shame with a Y10! Email Daniel for further details.

Unfinished 'G' Registered Y10 Turbo project. Fully resprayed inside and out (unfortunatly it has been sat a while so some rust is showing again on the doors etc) in met black. Rollcentre Rollcage, Height adjustable coilovers, Willwood 4 pot alloy brake calipers with integrale 16v disks, Many new parts, most suspension parts new.
